Anna Šebestová (born 1994) is a mainly self-taught engraver. She was able to refine her creativity and proficiency thanks to many years of art lessons in visual arts and pottery. However, only in hand engraving did she find the perfect blend of techniques that she felt right to devotedly develop as a profession.
She acquired basic engraving apprenticeship at the Centre for Technical Training in Uhersky Brod, Czechia. This apprenticeship is just the foundation of her constant learning, endless experimentation and continual pushing of boundaries. She became a full time engraver in 2020 while occasionally accepting commissions of other forms of art.
She executes her engravings with the highest artistic aspiration to produce a timeless work of art. When engraving metals and precious metals, Anna applies the methods of flat lines, deep reliefs, bulino dots and lines, gold inlays, and multicolour inlays.
