Blade of stainless steel 440C. Illustration depicted on one side is of a scene of the battle of Austerlitz in 1805 where the troops of Napoleonian Grande Armée de France defeated a larger Russian and Austrian army led by Tsar Alexander I and Holy Roman Emperor Francis II. Additional decoration with engraved and gilded ornaments on both sides of the blade.
The handle is made of birch burl, with one finger groove. Brass made and then gilded guard and pommel with decorative ball ending. Ornamental adornment.
